Freeze-Dried Chicken Recipe

Yeah this stuff has a strong odor when opening it, but the furball seems to love it. Like lick the plate clean and beg for more kind of love it. This can be rehydrated with water, though that does take a few minutes and if your dog is like mine, that could feel like an eternity. I try to prepare it in secret, sometimes successfully. I like that this is shelf stable and storage is easy, though at the rate our furball is begging, this won't last long. It makes for a great special treat.

My wife and I spend a lot of money on our pets and feed them high quality food. We were impressed with this bag of freeze dried raw chicken because it fits the philosophy of what we look for in a healthy snack for our pups. The top ingredient is chicken, followed by ground chicken bones and chicken liver. It also contains quinoa, sweet potato, salmon oil and other ingredients. From a taste perspective our pups loved it. These are great as a meal topper or a standalone snack. The only con is that they're expensive for how much you get, but you get what you pay for. 5/5. Highly recommended.

These are freeze dried chicken bites. They're of different sizes, but mostly around 1/2" or so in rugged ball shapes. They don't smell good at all to me. I wasn't sure if my pup would like them or not, but he ate them up so quick and wanted more. I guess he approved! So the taste is good, to him anyway. Smell is not so good, to me. They're freeze dried, so they are not super hard and you can crush them easily. The bag is resealable, but if you have pantry moths, you may want to put it in another zipper bag or transfer it into an airtight container. The ingredients seem to be good with vitamins and minerals added. And my pup loves them!

If you�re looking for an easy topper to make mealtime a little more exciting, this is a great choice. My only wish is that the bag were a bit larger since it goes pretty quickly when used for multiple dogs.

My dog seems to really like this freeze dried food. I have been using it as a topper to encourage him to eat his regular kibble. I like that it has lots of healthy and easily recognizable ingredients. It smells pretty strong, almost fishy, so I did not wet it first and just add it dry, but it can be reconstituted if desired. Cost wise, it would be cost prohibitive for me for this to be the primary food for my 70 lb dog, but as a topper it would be manageable.

Because my dog weighs over 100 pounds, it wouldn't be feasible to use this as his regular food, so I'm using it as treats instead. My dog was excited to try these! As a training treat, these are high quality with balanced ingredients. My dog enjoys the taste and is eager to eat them, making them a high value treat. The fact that they are freeze dried makes them easy to carry in a treat bag and not messy to handle. The pieces are small enough to use as training treats for my large dog, but also easy to break if desired. Overall this is a nice food, topper or treat that my dog enjoys.

I use these for training my dogs. The 13-year-old Lab loves them, and the 3-year-old Cattle Dog enjoys them as treats from training. Also, I use them on the forging mats, for an extra Sunday treat.

These freeze-dried little gems are great for training. For my crew they are a high motivation treat. They are easy to handle and the dogs love them. They didn't have any tummy issues either.

Chanel tried Dr. Gary�s Freeze-Dried Raw Chicken Recipe for the first time and she really liked it! Chanel is an 80 lb. Pitbull mix. We have given her this raw food as treats, used as a topper re-hydrated with water and not re-hydrated added to her kibble and she is enjoying it. No signs of stomach upset or allergies which is great! I appreciate all the healthy ingredients especially the omegas for her skin and probiotics and I like the fact that this is raw food. I would recommend this food.

Dolly loves Dr Gary�s new Freeze-dried Raw Dog food! They are the perfect size to dole out as a treat, the perfect finger-size food for good girls! They are odor free but Dolly can smell them across the room when I open the bag. Dolly enjoys the crunch!

My senior male eagerly sits for these as a treat and crunches these healthy bits of freeze-dried chicken up. My younger female also likes the just right sized pieces as a treat, or as an entire wholesome meal and also enjoys them sprinkled on top of her kibble. I've found them easy to use, look appealing, no offensive odor. I carry a pocketful on our walks and dole them out for good behavior.

My dogs really didn�t care for these. They tried it at first and one of them spit it out. The other ate one but wouldn�t eat anymore. But I do also have the world�s pickiest dogs!

This is my first time trying a freeze-dried product. I have been curious too. First off I tried it as a treat and it was well liked, then I used it as a topper, they gobbled it up. I normally cook a fresh meat to add to their dry food, so this was super easy to do. It would be perfect to buy if you are taking a vacation and need to have someone else feed your dogs. The only thing stopping me from buying it on a regular basis is the cost. With one of my dogs being a yellow lab who could eat the whole bag in one serving it�s a little high for me.

My dogs go absolutely nuts for this treat. It can be used in 4 ways according to the package: as a full meal, mixed with a meal, used as a topper to a meal, or as a treat. I used it as treat and would suggest you try it this way first to see how your dog/puppy's stomach handles it, then if you want to use it as a topper to their food then go ahead. But I, myself, would never use it as a mix in with their food or as a full meal simply for the fact that that the largest package is 24oz and is $62. I have 3 dogs and this would not last very long that way. Other than that I will definitely be ordering the 24oz bag every other month as a special treat to give my dogs.

I have 2 standard poodles that are fussy eaters. Upon opening the bag, they were immediately interested and loved the pieces I gave them. I use it as a topper on their kibble and they immediately devour it.

This food is amazing! I used it initially as if it were a treat when I first opened the bag. Both of my dogs were drooling and begging for more! The cats all gathered around, so I gave them a few nuggets and they went crazy for it too! I was so pleasantly surprised, I took a handful and went out to the chickens and yep! I�ve bought a lot of different freeze-dried chicken for my dogs in the past. Often times the bits were powdered or in little bitty pieces, but this was not it was intact. I gave a few to all my dogs and they gobbled it down.

As soon as I opened the package my dog was right next to me. She�s a picky eater and doesn�t always like new treats but these were different. She loved them instantly and runs every time she sees me even near the bag. I would definitely recommend giving these a try.
