Freeze-Dried Fish Recipe

I wanted to like this product more than I did because the ingredient list looked really promising. When I opened the bag, the fish smell was much stronger than I expected, which my pet seemed to enjoy a lot more than I did. At first, my pet was excited every time I offered a piece, but after the first few days the interest seemed to level off. I liked how easy it was to break the pieces into smaller portions for treats or to sprinkle over food. My dog did not have a preference for this over other treats. Some of the contents arrived pretty crushed, so there were more crumbs than actual pieces by the time I got to the bottom of the bag. I also found myself wishing there was a little more product for the price. That said, I did appreciate the simple ingredients and felt good about what I was feeding. My pet had no stomach issues and tolerated it without any problems. I would probably buy it again if it were on sale, but I am not sure I would pay full price given the amount you receive. Overall, it was a solid product that did some things well, but it did not completely live up to my expectations.

This is a freeze-dried fish recipe that is formulated for all life stages, including large breed dogs. It comes in a resealable bag with an easy-to-use closure. The pieces vary in size, with the largest about the size of the end of a small finger, while many are much smaller. They aren't particularly dusty, although they do crumble if broken. My picky dogs absolutely loved these. They digested them without any issues and kept coming back looking for more. Although the pieces are a little difficult to break by hand because they're so small, they're easy for the dogs to chew and even my messiest eater finished them in a few bites without leaving crumbs everywhere. I also really liked that they aren't especially fishy smelling and didn't leave any residue or odor on my hands. The only real downside is the price and package size. If I were feeding this as my dogs' regular food, the available bag sizes just wouldn't be economical. Even when used only as treats, they're still on the expensive side. Overall, I really like these. They aren't a good value if you're looking for an everyday dog food, but as a treat they're an excellent addition to the variety I use for training. My dogs enjoy them more than many actual treats, so despite the price, I would buy them again.

Dog has always been on a high-protein diet. He�s not a picky eater so he likes these very much. Went through the whole bag within two months. I do like the fact that they include all the nutrition facts. No weird side effects with my dog after eating these, still the happy boy he is.

Been using this and the other freeze-dried formulas for months now and our boys go absolutely crazy each meal!

A little expensive to use as daily dietary food, but I use it as treats. Dr. Gary's is the best and the freeze-dried works well as treats too :)

Finally found a good dog food that my dog loves and good for her. Shes a pitty that has some sensitivities to many other dog foods I�ve tried, so I�ve been making/cooking her foods but it�s getting too much for me to maintain. I�m so happy that I�ve found this food that solves all of our issues and she happily eats it. On autoship for sure.

I like it for a treat or topper, great to use in cognitive toys but for using just for dog food alone it�s to pricy.

I use these for treats during training and they are very high value, in my dogs� opinion!

I use this to mix with my frenchie�s fresh food. He loves it and does very well when he has it in his diet! His coat is shiny and soft. Digestion is great. It�s a bit expensive to use as an entire meal but we will keep it in the mix as a topper!

I�m sure this is a great quality food, sadly, our dog did not care for it

My 16 year old Lab/Husky mix has gotten more forgetful as he's gotten older and sometimes doesn't recognize his food or morning meal routine. He usually improves later in the morning and is otherwise happy. This food has been useful as a topper because he likes it, it doesn't upset his tummy, and most importantly it encourages him to eat in the mornings when he's otherwise a bit confused. He is just as happy to eat this as he is to steal food from my toddlers' hands! The 4 ounce option also makes it easy to try without a large commitment. I use it dry as a food topper. My old boy has much worn down teeth like any senior, but happily munches this eagerly and with ease.

I bought these to use as treats for my dogs. They are very stinky lol. However, my dogs love them. They get so excited when they hear or see the bag. The ingredients are wholesome and I feel good about giving these to them. They�re very fresh and still crunchy. They are also a good size for using as a treat.

This is a good quality healthy product, although a little out of budget to use for full meals. I use it for treats and toppers and my dog loves it. As soon as I open the bag, he runs to "place!" It's also very good to use as a training aid.

We used as a topper to one of our very picky dogs food in the morning & evenings. I love how small the pieces are & while formed fully, you can still break up to crumble on top. I love the whole ingredients that are named & simple. His coat looks amazing and his allergies (outside environmental) have abated slightly. He gets excieted for his meal times now where as before we would be laying on the floor begging for him to eat his meal.

I used this as a high value training treat for my dog for his training classes. He absolutely loves it! Also took him to my sister's house and her dog was obsessed as well, joined in our training session just so he could get some treats

I mixed the whole bag into a bag of dog food and used it as a supplement. My three labs loved it and wanted more after it was gone. I think we will definitely be trying this again!

I originally ordered this for my dogs but my cats were trying to steal them during treat time. They are well liked in our household! We use them like treats and as a food topper.

My dogs LOVE this! My cats come running for it too. I use it as a meal topper for dinner. They usually wait until I say �OK� to eat, but have gone right to eating a couple times with these niblets. They are the size of typical dog kibble and does not have a strong typical fish odor like some dog foods/treats can.

We have four dogs, 2 littles and 2 bigs and ALL of them went crazy for this food. I loved that it can be used four ways - we tried it three of the four ways. As a treat, it helped get our biggest dog to his kennel quickly and easily. I see training being easy with these as a treat, yet nutritious food. My husband didn�t want me to keep using the food as he wanted to save it for treats as all dogs went crazy for this food. I then tried it the next day as a topper to their normal food to change things up - each dog practically ran to their place, salivating while they sat for their food bowl to come when they saw me reach in the bag. This doesn�t normally happen so I think I�ve found my new food topper for my two picky eaters. Finally, for my most finicky eater that sometimes eats and sometimes doesn�t, I added this food moistened and into his hard kibble. I don�t think I�ve seen him finish his dinner in under two minutes flat since he was a puppy. I will happily buy this food as it is versatile for use, a nutritious treat option, and good for my big and little dogs.

As long as you don�t mind the strong smell, they�ve been a great addition to our treat collection.

My dog loved this food. She transitioned to it easily. The ingredients are very clean and wholesome. I read about their other formulas, and they are all very healthy.

Miyah girls loves this food as a topper! The fish smell is a little strong for the human, however Miyah cannot get enough! She eats more of her food with this topper on it!

I�ve given this to my dogs both dry and wet. They enjoyed it both ways but generally prefer it wet as a topper on their food. The smell is fairly strong fish smell for this food, which is why I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars but both my pups seem to love it!

My two boys gobbled this up! They do love fish and this was more like a treat to them. I sprinkled some on as a food topper and they devoured it like candy. My bigger boy did have some gas from it, but his normal food isn�t fish flavored. My senior only eats fish and can sometimes pick at his food but he definitely loved this as a special meal.

We have been using these as treats and meal toppers, and our greyhound Rae loves it! They are a great size for training, and just smelly enough to hold her attention without being overpowering. I especially like how these hold their shape better than other brands of freeze-dried that we�ve tried, so we don�t get a bag of dust. Rae can�t wait to try all the flavors!

I used this as a topper on the dogs meals. They absolutely loved it and eagerly ate their meal. I have large dogs and the size was great for them. I have 2 very old girls and they had no issues with it. No negatives issues with stools, either. I will definitely continue to use this as a topper. Happy dogs, happy life!

We use this as a food topper. My dogs can get bored with their kibble, so adding a little of this on top has been a big help. They scarf their food down everytime if this is on it.
